ABOUT THE WORK:
Edrian’s inspiration comes from nature, family, women and children. Her paintings are whimsical with a sense of spirit and emotion that shows a connection to the world around them. Often her own ancestry, family history and life experiences have motivated many of her pieces.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Born and raised in Colombia, Edrian Thomidis moved to the U.S with her family at the age of 15 to pursue the ‘America Dream’. Her training and background is in Fine Arts and Graphic Design. She received a BFA in Graphic Design with concentration in Illustration from the University of Florida in 1997 where she graduated with honors. Her paintings and illustrations are done on traditional media with acrylic paints on various surfaces. Her graphic design work and
other digital work are done on the computer using graphic design or web related software.
Edrian Thomidis has been designing web sites since 1995 for clients such as Pepsi, Discovery Channel, Sony, CSFB, Microsoft, Colonial Penn, Baptist Hospital, Rheem, Autonation, and City of Delray to name a few.
During this time she continued to experiment with painting and photography. Her experiments were sometimes included in her designs.
As the owner of Tenengo Design, Inc since 2000, Edrian takes advantage of her outstanding creative integrity and broad creativity and experience to produce high quality work which ranges from web sites and logos and brochures to paintings, and illustrations as well as special occasions card design.
When Edrian is not at her studio, she loves spending time with her husband Theo and kids: Gabi and Alex. She also enjoys exercising and reading.
